Flores – Komodo Tour 9 Days 8 Nights (exploring Flores & Komodo)

The tour will start from Ende, in the middle part of Flores Island. This kind of tour will take you to some beautiful places. Flores island is very well known for its beautiful landscape. The traditional villages are another interesting attraction of this tour. This tour is designed to see the genuine nature and the traditional villages. You will see a beautiful three-color lake called Kelimutu Lake. You are also able to observe the life of the local people and see some traditional villages, such as: Bena Village, Saga Village and some others. Beside of things mentioned above you will also do swimming or snorkeling activities on the beautiful white sandy beaches in Riung 17 islands. The tour will end in the west part of Flores which is called Labuan Bajo.

Day 1. Ende – Moni Village

Our tour guide will pick you up at the airport of Ende. Then we will drive you to Moni village with a short stop in Saga village. This village belongs to Lio ethnic group, a brief introducing of the way and the unique of local people life. Then you will continue driving to Moni village for a stay night.

Day 2. Moni Village – Riung 17 islands

On the second day of your adventure in Flores – Komodo Tour you will start your trip very early in the morning. You will depart from the hotel at 04.30 am for Kelimutu lake. Kelimutu Lake is a mystical place according to the local beliefs. After enjoying the sunrise and the lakes you will drive back to the hotel to grab your breakfast and continue your drive to the fresh fruit and vegetables market called Ndua Ria. After a short stop here, we then drive to Riung. Before checking into the hotel, you will make short stop at blue stone beach.

Day 3. Island Excursion – Bajawa

After getting breakfast at the hotel, then a transfer to the harbor of the island follows. Swimming and snorkeling will be the activities that you can do on the island. BBQ will be served for your lunch on the island. After a half-day excursion, you will sail back to the harbor and continu driving to Bajawa and we will stop at the hot spring called So’a hot spring. Afterwards checking in to the hotel follows.

Day 4. Bajawa – Ruteng

After breakfast at the hotel, you will depart to see an impressive traditional village of Bena to see Ngadhu and Bhaga as symbol of Male and Female ancestors of Ngadha tribe. Afterward, we shall continue driving to Aimere village to see the traditional process of local alcohol production called ‘arak”. It is made of palm juice. Then we carry on driving to Ruteng with a stop at Rana Mese Lake or another spot to take a few amazing pictures. Checking into the hotel follows.

Day 5. Ruteng – Lodok ( Spider Web ) – Wae Rebo Village

After breakfast at the hotel, we will depart to Lodok village to see the spectacular view of round rice fields called ‘spider web rice fields” then we’ll to Denge Village. Upon arrival at Denge Village we start trekking up which will take us approximately 3 hours to reach the beautiful traditional village of Wae Rebo. Lunch, dinner and overnight are organized at Wae Rebo village.

Day 6. Wae Rebo Villagr – Denge Village – Labuan Bajo

A simple breakfast at the Wae Rebo village, then sightseeing and enjoying the village. Interacting with the local community is the right way to get real-life experience about their way of life. Leaving the village and trekking back down to the Denge village. Upon arrival at the village, we will keep on driving to Labuan Bajo. After checking into your chosen hotel follows.

Day 7. Labuan Bajo – Rinca Island

After breakfast at the hotel, we depart to the harbor to catch a wooden boat. The wooden boat will take you the Rinca Island through the spectacular panorama of the island. Upon arrival in Rinca Island you will go on your trekking tour to see the Komodo dragon and other wild animals living on this island. Then we shall take a boat to the impressive and spectacular pink beaches for snorkeling, swimming, or sunbathing. The boat will dock around Komodo Island for your overnight stay on the boat. Lunch and dinner will be on the boat.

Day 8. Komodo Island – Manta Point – Kanawa Island – Labuan Bajo

Breakfast will be on the boat; we then continue with another trek in Komodo Island to see Komodo dragon and other wildlife. This will be yet another chance to see the giant lizard and the other kinds of wildlife. This island is also a home of about 128 species of birds. This could be your chance to see them. Then we are going by boat to Manta point to see and swim with the huge Manta rays (could not be quarantined). Afterwards, you will continue to Kanawa Island. This island offers a spectacular view of underwater life. Snorkeling, swimming, even relaxing on the beach are the activities that you can do. Then a transfer to the harbor and checking into the chosen hotel is scheduled. Lunch will be served on the boat.

Day 9. Hotel – Airport

After having breakfast at the hotel, you will depart to the mirror stone cave to see the stalactite and stalagmite, then a transfer to the airport and your next destination follows.
